FIVE OH FIVE

FiveOHFive was founded in London in 2015 by María León Ferreiro and Eduardo López Solórzano. We collaborate together from the PFC in Madrid, in different architecture offices and in personal projects and competitions. The name FiveOHFive comes from the apartment in London (number 505 of E1 8NJ) in which the first assignment for the team was forged and is born from the desire to offer something new in the profession, where we could put into practice what we have learned in years of work and life abroad.

We lean on influences of all kinds and backgrounds, we challenge stereotypes and explore new ways of solving problems. We seek to celebrate materiality, color and richness in everyday details. We enjoy being close to the client and creating personalized designs.

María León studied architecture at the Technical School of Architecture in Madrid where she graduated in 2008. She works in Madrid at a difficult time for the sector in Spain and in 2010 she moved to the United Kingdom in search of new professional opportunities. In these years she develops as an architect, in roles that evolve from architecture assistant to designer and project architect. He has worked on new construction and renovation projects and on different scales and has combined office work with freelance work. María is a creative and detailed person who pursues clarity in ideas in the design phases and cleanliness in the materialization of those ideas. Since 2010 she has been working with BIM.

Eduardo López studied architecture at the i.e school in Segovia where he graduated in 2008 with an outstanding grade for his Thesis for the improvement and regeneration of the former bus station area in that World Heritage City. While preparing his Thesis, he studied a Master’s Degree in Computer Graphic Ideation in Architecture at the ETSAM and later a course in Management and Creation of Companies related to design at the Business School (EOI) of Madrid. He worked in Madrid in collaboration with reputable offices. In 2010 he moved to the United Kingdom in a continuous search for motivating projects. Eduardo is a creative and enthusiastic person who offers his great passion for architecture and excellent graphic skills. His ability and experience in managing large-scale projects and large amounts of work stands out. He has an extensive experience in BIM.
